Your Canvas has three display modes that affect how much of the user interface is visible. Layer names are hidden in Compact and Hidden modes to give you more drawing space.

To make your layer names visible, you need to return to Normal Mode.

• From Hidden Mode: Tap the small dot on the edge of the screen to show the menus in Compact Mode.
• From Compact Mode: Swipe inward on any menu icon (like the layers icon) to expand the menus into Normal Mode. Layer names and other labels will then be visible.

Pro Tip: You can cycle through modes by swiping outward on the menu buttons to go from Normal to Compact to Hidden. Swipe inward to reverse the cycle. You can also assign a gesture shortcut to toggle Hidden Mode in the Settings.
