Your drawing can look different because Concepts is designed to render beautiful, textured vector strokes that feel natural, a feature many other vector applications do not support. When you export to a standard vector format like SVG, DXF, or an editable PDF, other apps can only read the core path data, not the complex textures.

How to Prepare Drawings for Other Vector Apps

To ensure your drawing appears as expected in other software, follow these tips:

  • Draw with the Wire and Fixed Width tools. These tools create clean vector paths without textures, which transfer cleanly.
  • Avoid using the Hard Mask and Soft Mask. These tools are unique to Concepts and will appear as white lines in other programs.
  • Use the Slice tool to permanently cut and erase linework instead of using masks.
