You can set and adjust your drawing scale at any time. There are two primary methods to do this.

Set Scale Manually in Settings

  1. Tap the Settings icon in the status bar.
  2. Go to the Workspace tab.
  3. Under Drawing Scale, choose a preset scale or tap the fields to enter a custom ratio.
  4. Set your preferred Units in the section below to match your scale.

Set Scale from an Imported Plan or Image

This method is useful if you know the real-world dimension of an object in an imported image or PDF.

  1. Import your image or plan onto the canvas.
  2. Activate Precision tools by tapping the grid icon.
  3. Tap the Guide menu and select the Line guide.
  4. Position the handles of the Line guide to measure the length of the known object in your image.
  5. In the Precision menu, tap the measurement value to open the Drawing Scale menu.
  6. Enter the object's actual, real-world measurement into the second field (e.g., 10 feet or 3 meters). Do not change the first field.
  7. Tap away to close the menu. The drawing scale is now set.

Any new lines you draw will now reflect this scale when Measure is active.
