You have a few options for moving your drawings to a new iPad. Using iCloud Drive is the most direct method.

Using iCloud Drive (Recommended)

If you are using Concepts version 6.12 or newer, you can move your drawings to the iCloud Drive location inside the Gallery.

  1. In the Gallery, Tap+Hold on a drawing or folder you want to move.
  2. Drag it from the On My iPad section to the iCloud Drive section.
  3. The drawings will sync to your iCloud account.
  4. On your new iPad, sign in with the same Apple ID and your drawings will appear in the iCloud Drive section of the Gallery.

Using a Full Device Backup

You can back up your entire old iPad to iCloud and then restore your new iPad from that backup. This process transfers all your apps and data, including your local Concepts drawings.

Manual Export & Import via Files App

This method involves manually copying your drawing files to a cloud service and then importing them on the new device.

  1. Open the iOS Files app on your old iPad.
  2. Navigate to your preferred cloud service (e.g., iCloud Drive) and create a new folder, for example, "Concepts Backup".
  3. Navigate back to On My iPad and open the "Concepts" folder.
  4. Tap Select in the top corner, then select all the drawing folders you wish to move.
  5. Tap Copy from the bottom bar.
  6. Go to the "Concepts Backup" folder you created and Tap+Hold on an empty area, then choose Paste.
  7. On your new iPad, open the Files app, navigate to your "Concepts Backup" folder, and drag the drawing folders into the On My iPad > Concepts location to import them.
