Use the Filled Stroke tool to draw areas with solid color. While Concepts does not have an automatic “paint bucket” fill, you can use the following methods to create and fill shapes.

Filling an Existing Outline

If you have an outline drawn with a single, continuous stroke, you can fill it instantly.

  1. Select the stroke using the Selection tool.
  2. Open the tool menu and choose the Filled Stroke tool.
  3. The stroke will instantly convert to a filled shape.

Bonus: This method works great for shapes drawn with the Shape Guides and for many basic shapes from our Object libraries.

Creating an Outline from a Fill

You can also create a perfect outline for a filled shape you have already drawn.

  1. Select your filled shape.
  2. Tap the Duplicate button on the popup menu.
  3. With the duplicate still selected, change its tool to an ink or pen brush.

Pro Tip: For greater control, move your fills and their corresponding ink outlines to separate Layers.
