You can import images (JPG or PNG) or selections copied from other drawings. Each imported item can be moved, scaled, rotated and adjusted like any other element in Concepts.

From the Canvas

This method adds an image to your current drawing.

  1. Tap the Import icon in the status bar.
  2. Choose your source: Clipboard, Camera or Files (your device's file manager).
  3. The image will appear on your canvas in a selected state. Position and resize it as needed, then tap the screen to place it.

Important: If your Layers are set to Automatic, the image will be placed on a new, dedicated Image layer. If set to Manual, it will be placed on your active layer.

Copy and Paste a Selection

This is useful for moving elements between your drawings.

  1. Select the strokes or image you want to copy using the Lasso or Item Picker tool.
  2. Tap the paperclip icon on the Selection popup menu to copy it to your device's clipboard. You can also use the menu or standard keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+C / Cmd+C).
  3. Open the destination drawing, tap the Import menu, and choose Clipboard to paste. You can also use Ctrl+V / Cmd+V.
