To set an imported PDF or image to a specific scale, use the Measure tool to calibrate your drawing based on a known dimension.
- Import your PDF. It will appear on its own Layer.
- Identify a part of the plan with a known, real-world dimension (e.g., a wall or doorway).
- Open the Precision menu and activate Measure.
- Activate the Line guide and double-tap its central crosshairs.
- Align the guide’s handles with the start and end points of the known dimension on your plan.
- Tap the scale ratio (e.g., 1:1) in the Precision menu.
- Enter the known real-world measurement into the second field. The first field and the overall scale ratio will update automatically.
The scale is now set for your entire drawing. All new lines you draw will match this scale.
Bonus: You can duplicate a drawing with a preset scale to use it as a template. You can also learn how to create a project template for future use.
